In Monday’s season finale of “How I Met Your Mother” (7:30 p.m. Central, WBBM-Ch. 2), Lily (Alyson Hannigan) will tell husband Marshall (Jason Segel) she is. But the episode is really more about the budding romance between Robin (Cobie Smulders) and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris).

Ted (Josh Radnor) will give Barney his blessing to go for it with his ex-girl.

And, as Harris said on the “HIMYM” set last month, Robin is aware of the Barney’s feelings for her. “She’s playing mind games with Barney,” he said. “I think she’s interested to see just how serious he is about her.”

Speaking of busy, I’m hiring some staff here. I’m looking for a news poster or two that can commit to a few posts a month and someone to help me go through the previous owners gallery and remove all of the paparazzi images. How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan and her husband, actor Alexis Denisof, have announced that theyve had a baby daughter.

The girl is named Satyana Denisof and was born on March 24, Hannigans 35 birthday.

Theyre very excited, and mom and baby are doing great, their rep tells People.

Hannigan told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that when she was pregnant she suffered from pregnancy brain, which I never realized was a thing but it is. I sort of feel like a koala bear, where Im slightly stoned all the time and say the wrong word.

Hannigan and Denisof, 43, met on Buffy the Vampire Slayer during the 1999-2000 season.

The couple got hitched at the Two Bunch Palms Resort in 2003.

For the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” the challenge is twofold: The show’s two lead actresses — Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders, who play Lily and Robin, respectively — announced their real-life pregnancies, within weeks of each other, last fall. As co-creator/executive producer Craig Thomas said in his congratulatory statement, “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go down to our wardrobe department to check out the large burlap sacks Robin and Lily will inexplicably be wearing for the rest of the season.” Series co-creator/executive producer Carter Bays talked to us about how, aside from a wink-at-the-viewers stomach bump after a hot-dog-eating contest, the show will deal with the moms-to-be.
